Using the New Filters and Views

In the New Mouseflow, we introduce powerful new filters which allows you to filter the recording list, heatmap list and even the heatmaps themselves. We give you a wide range of options for you to find exactly the data you need:

Recording Filters

TYPE  FUNCTION  OPTIONS
Filters: Use these general pre-defined filters to find specific recordings

Country, OS, Browser, Link Source, Visitor Type, Screen Resolution, Starred, Watched

Devices:

You can filter recordings based on the device a visitor used to access the website

Mobile, Tablet, Desktop
Page Count: Filter recordings based on the number of pages a visitor visited 1 page to 100 pages
Duration:  Find visitors who spend a specified amount of time on the website 0 seconds to 2 hours
Funnels: Filter recordings based on the pages a user entered/exited from or did/didn't visit Entry Page, Contains, Does Not Contain, Exit Page
Tags: Filter recordings that were automatically tagged based on a visitor's actions Form-Interact, Submit
Variables:  You can filter recordings with custom variables using Mouseflow's Custom Variables feature

Heatmap Filters

TYPE FUNCTION OPTIONS
Filters: Use these general pre-defined filters to find specific heatmaps Country, OS, Browser, Link Source, Visitor Type, Screen Resolution
Devices: You can filter heatmaps based on the device a visitor used to access the website Mobile, Tablet, Desktop
Tags: Filter heatmaps that were automatically tagged based on a visitor's actions Form-Interact, Submit

Custom Views

Views are a great way to save different filter combinations. For example, say you want to find recordings where a visitor accessed the site from a desktop Mac, used Chrome, browsed the site for at least two minutes, entered on the home page, visited the pricing page, and then exited from the sign-up page. Your filters would look like the following:

Clicking 'Apply' will bring up all recordings that match these parameters. You can then save this View by clicking on 'All Recordings' and clicking 'Save View As' (second from the bottom).
